Ryu is able to do a lot of damage off some of his setups - he and Sagat can do pretty juicy damage off an uppercut - so Juri, because she has to take more chances, is at risk to get hit more. So characters like Sagat or Zangief - well, she might be able to keep Zangief away - but those who are mobile enough to get close to her and hit really hard are going to be rough for Juri. She has slightly lower health than some of the other characters, so she takes slightly more damage. SK: Still TBD but basically, she'll have trouble with characters that hit hard. You can sort of hold it and surprise people or do trick setups with it. Her fireball is particularly interesting. She's a very mobile character, with a lot of interesting options from different ranges - she's just creative with a lot of different moves and setups. But you have a lot more options to create those opportunities. With Juri, you're going to need 3…4…5 opportunities in a round before you can kill someone. So it's not like she's going back and forth waiting for her one big opportunity. But it's not like she's going to get in your face and land one giant combo that ends your whole life. She doesn't hit that hard, so you sort of have to string together a few guessing games.Ĭreative players who like to try new things will have a lot of fun with her. She's a threat from up close, she's a threat from mid-range…even from across the screen with her dive kick. She's very dynamic with a lot of movement - that's one of my favorite things about her. Seth Killian: Juri is probably one of the most versatile characters.
